Project Kick-Off Meeting Launches DigiVet Initiative in Sofia

On 16–17 February 2026, the official kick-off meeting of the project “DigiVet: Emphasizing Digital Skills in Vocational Education and Training” was successfully held in Sofia at the premises of the Faculty of Educational Studies and the Arts (FEBA), part of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

Over the course of two intensive working days, project partners gathered to formally launch the initiative and lay the foundation for a collaborative effort aimed at strengthening digital competences within vocational education and training (VET).

Representatives from each partner organization actively participated in the sessions, presenting their institutional expertise and defining their roles within the project structure.

Defining Objectives and Work Plan

  • Detailed review of work packages and deliverables
  • Establishment of management, financial, and reporting procedures
  • Quality assurance and risk management planning
  • Communication and dissemination strategy discussions

DigiVet aims to modernize VET systems by enhancing digital skills among students and educators, developing innovative learning materials, and fostering cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Special emphasis was placed on aligning vocational training programs with the rapidly evolving digital labor market and supporting institutions in their digital transformation processes.

The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for the first implementation phase and a strong commitment from all partners to ensure effective cooperation and high-quality results.

With the successful kick-off in Sofia, DigiVet officially begins its journey toward empowering vocational education through digital innovation, contributing to more resilient and future-oriented VET systems in the region.
