About DigiVet

DigiVET Albania directly responds to the priorities of the Erasmus+ CBVET action by strengthening VET institutions, fostering cross-border cooperation and introducing innovative teaching methodologies. This project will support VET schools in adopting modern, technology-driven curricula, increasing teacher training in digital skills, and establishing new industry partnerships that provide real-world learning experiences for students.

A major component of this initiative is the creation of DigiVET Labs in four Albanian VET schools. These labs will be equipped with virtual reality (VR) simulators, AI-powered training tools, and digital learning resources to support courses in fields like renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and advanced manufacturing. Teachers will receive specialized training in digital pedagogy, ensuring that they are well-prepared to integrate these new tools into their classrooms.

Another key aspect of this project is the expansion of work-based learning opportunities. Many Albanian businesses express concerns that VET graduates lack practical experience, making it difficult for them to hire skilled workers.

To address this, DigiVET Albania will partner with 15 companies in Spain, Turkey and Albania to provide structured apprenticeships and on-the-job training programs. These opportunities will help students develop practical, industry-relevant skills, increasing their employability upon graduation.

Finally, this project places a strong emphasis on inclusion and gender equality in VET. Special initiatives, such as the "VET for Her" program, will be introduced to encourage more young women to pursue careers in STEM-related VET fields. Additionally, scholarships and mentoring programs will be developed to support students from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring that VET remains accessible to all.
